Is This Your Brain On A Cellphone? The Cancer Debate Continues
Yet again, we arrive at this question: Do cell phones cause brain tumors?
The debate that has lingered for years rages anew after a collaborative of international electromagnet radiation groups that refer to themselves as the "International EMF (Electronmagnetic Fields) Collective" released a 38-page report on August 25, 2009, that concludes there is indeed a link between cell phones and cancer, particularly with children.
Among the collective's 15 conclusions listed in the title of its report are the following four:
- The danger of brain tumors from cellphone use is highest in children and the younger a child is when he/she starts using a cellphone, the higher the risk.
- Cellphone radiation damages DNA, "an undisputed cause of cancer."
- Cellphone radiation has been shown to cause the blood-brain barrier to leak.
- Male fertility is damaged by cellphone radiation.
